Dealing with Anxiety
personal
My stomach used to be a constant knot, that weird feeling you get. I was always scared and my hands would turn completely cold. I knew something wasn't right, but I dismissed it as nerves or stress. But I always wondered. What if I failed? What if everyone was judging me? Everyday tasks became scary.
Taking that first step towards help wasn't easy. Anxiety can be isolating, making you feel like you're the only one struggling. But statistics show otherwise. Anxiety disorders are some of the most common mental health issues globally.
But I had to see a therapy atleast that is what the internet told me so. I braced myself for all the questions and judgements, but the first thing she asked was surprisingly simple: "How can I help you?" It was a disarming question and it made me realize how desperately I needed support.
Therapy wasn't a quick fix, but with time and effort, I learned how to manage my anxiety. You're taking control of your well-being, one step at a time. And that's something to be proud of.
