The story of second chances in life when we fall hard
personal
In 2020, I used to be feeling frustrated and exhausted. I was not able to focus on any work that I am committed to. It was really hard for me to transform my attention towards the work. I always hesitate to share my feelings to others. I was afraid that they could judge me. Then I had sleep issues. Then I was not able to sleep without taking sleeping pills. I also had health issues due to my unbalanced diet that I had. All these things were stopping me from being normal and being focused towards my career.
Day by day things were getting worse and worse. In my life I never taught about consulting a psychiatrist. I never thought therapy could heal me. Because I don’t know in detail about how therapy can change a person. After going through a lot of thinking about therapy. I decided to consult a psychiatrist. Eventually, I reached out to a therapist who diagnosed me with anxiety disorder. This diagnosis was a challenge. It was a challenge because it meant facing my fears head-on and learning new ways to cope.
Throughout my journey, I've learned that mental illness is not a sign of weakness, but rather a testament to our strength. It takes courage to face our struggles head-on and seek help. I've also discovered the power of self-care and finding healthy coping mechanisms. And I strongly believe that time heals everything. Whether it's practising mindfulness, engaging in creative outlets, or connecting with loved ones, these activities have become crucial in my journey towards recovery. Later on, I realised that I was wrong about therapy as it is the game changer of my life now. While my journey with mental illness is ongoing, I've come a long way. Now I've learned to embrace my struggles as part of my unique story and I accept it and I started to celebrate the small victories along the way. I believe that this path will lead to my success. Mental illness doesn't define me, but it has shaped me into a more compassionate individual.
