This doesn't mean you have any desire to cause trouble, it's just the intrusive nature of the thought. These thoughts are often random and can be quite distressing. Myth #2: Trauma bonding is simply bonding with someone who's been through similar experiences.

Trauma bonding is a more complex phenomenon. It describes a situation where someone forms an attachment to their abuser. This can happen due to a cycle of abuse followed by moments of kindness from the abuser. This confusing dynamic can make it difficult for the victim to leave the abusive relationship.
