Growing up, I felt like I was always in a competition. My parents had high expectations, and I always worried about meeting them. When I fell short, it made me feel awful.

To escape those bad feelings, I became a perfectionist. But the fear of messing up turned into anxiety. In fact, it got so bad that I started having panic attacks during exams and even for small things.

It wasn't easy, but I finally realised I needed help. So, I started therapy. It's been a journey, but I'm learning to manage my anxiety and take care of myself.

What I've learned so far:

Pressure can lead to anxiety: Feeling like I always had to be perfect puts a lot of pressure on me. Perfectionism isn't healthy: It might seem good at first, but the fear of failing can be scary. Asking for help is okay: Therapy has been a lifesaver. It's a safe space to talk about my worries and learn coping mechanisms.
